The Western Lights

This is the opening number from Dissociated.

In this song our lead character Alex is kept awake by dark thoughts. Trauma survivors often have trouble sleeping. It's normal to not get more than one to two hours sleep a night.

This has a huge effect on mental health.

Choreographed and performed by Eloise Jones.

Dissociated

This song marks the point in the play when Alex is at her most vulnerable.

When survivors find themselves under stress, they sometimes “dissociate”. This is a process of disconnecting themselves from their surroundings to help manage their feelings and anxiety.

Performed by Eloise Jones and Georgia Imrie.

In Every Way

This song is a conversation between Alex and her grandmother (who is approaching the end of her life).

Performed by Eloise Jones.
